Prayers on the Run: Stay Close.
From the Bible:
“Come near to God, and he will come near to you.”.
James Chapter 4 Verse 8
The Lord himself will go ahead of you. He will be with you.
He will never leave you. He’ll never desert you.
So don’t be afraid. Don’t lose hope.”
Deuteronomy Chapter 31 Verse 8
God promises to stay close to us and to never leave us.
But He also asks us to come close to Him.
There will be times when we feel far away from God.
It’s good to remember at those times that He will always be close to us.
This prayer comes in two parts - a prayer for us and a prayer for others
Close the zip slowly as you pray:
Father God, I thank You for Your promises to be close and to never leave me. Help me to stay close to you today.
Now pull the zip open as you continue to pray:
I pray for friends who feel You are far away - for whatever reason. I pray that they would feel You close by.
